Junior strikers off to Singapore

A 10-member Sri Lanka boy’s Under-16 hockey team under the captaincy of S. Akalanka Perera of Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa, accompanied by five officials will take wing to Singapore on April 2 to participate in the 2nd Boys’ Under-16 Asia Cup Hockey Tournament 2013 conducted by Asian Hockey Federation in Singapore from April 4 to 7.
The participating countries are Pakistan, Japan, China, Sri Lanka and Chinese Taipei from Pool ‘A’ and Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Bangladesh and Kazakhstan who will be competing from Pool ‘B’. Sri Lanka will play their first match against China on April 4 at 10.00am.
