SLIIT students celebrate academic success at Southeast Missouri State University
View(s):The first batch of SLIIT students to graduate from Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) recently celebrated their academic triumphs when they were accepted by the university to pursue MSc. degree programmes in their respective disciplines of study.
Madhusha Sarathchandra is the first SLIIT student to have completed a BS. in Electrical and Controls at SEMO and together with fellow student, Nirmal Weerasekara, who graduated with a BS. in Networking and Telecom, will pursue an MSc. in Project Management and a Graduate Assistantship this year at Illinois State University, the newest university partner of SLIIT.
Sameera Paranavithana graduated with 3.5+ GPA and was also granted a Graduate Assistantship at SEMO. He graduated with a BS in Networking and Telecom and commenced his MSc. in Technology Management at SEMO in Networking in January 2013.
Sandani Geeganage, Piumi Buddhini, Binodya Talawatta, Rusiru Jayasinghe and Shehan Perera who transferred from SLIIT to SEMO also graduated in Networking and Telecom.
Progressive Academy is SLIIT’s agent in Sri Lanka which facilitates such academic pathways for students, rendering assistance pertaining to admission, financial assistance, visa assistance, and transition assistance to enroll at its partner institutions.
Southeast Missouri State University is considered Missouri’s most academically competitive comprehensive regional university. The university’s collaboration with SLIIT seeks to enrich students’ academic pursuits and personal experiences by providing valuable pathways for globally recognised degrees.
