The Unforgettable Story of Sinhala Pop Re-scheduled
View(s):The stage was set for another spectacular musical extravaganza on 31 March at the picturesque Nelum Pokuna. After an unfortunate event, the show is now re – scheduled for 11 May.
The legendary A.E. Manoharan who arrived on 25th March, late Monday evening had his second gig at the Karaoke Bar along with Rajiv on Thursday evening at the official Hotel, where he was based in Colombo. Tragedy struck and the unexpected happened. Manoharan was admitted to a private hospital in Colombo around 4.30 a.m. due to a difficulty in breathing.
Only after meeting the family members in hospital Rajiv learnt that the over-enthusiastic entertainer, who was billed to perform for the very first time at Nelum Pokuna, had skipped his medical sessions for dialysis due to a kidney failure.
Since this was the final presentation for Rajiv with regard to Sinhala Pop, who had rehearsed and choreographed a duet in Sinhala and Tamil with Manoharan based on Kataragama, was adamant that Mano should perform at the event. There was no other option but to postpone the event for 11 May, the closest date available at Nelum Pokuna.
Tickets sold for 31March would be valid for 11May and the unchanged artist line-up Including A.E. Mnoharan is all geared up for a fiery performance on 11 May. The presenter, Rajiv Sebastian could be contacted on Mob: 0717700433 for further information.
