PalVision has come to stay in Lanka
View(s):PalVision, new technology in commercial activity through television was launched in Sri Lanka recently. The Singapore based PalVision used this launch as their organization expansion process and setting up research and development centre in Colombo.
By the mother company of PalVsion, has identified this is the best destination to setting up a R&D team which could cater PalVsion solution to the south Asian region countries. Almost they have been able to merged with important local partners as well as completed required software modules.

PalVision is a Singapore based company and founded in 2005 by the team who pioneered the introduction of free-to-guest video solution in Singapore in 1985. PalVision started life as a software development company and supplied many of the regional hospitality industry’s first: internet-on-TV, hospitality-specific LCD TVs, and so on.
‘We take great pride that we are not a regular IT company that simply wishes to sell solutions without due regard to Hotel operations and so on’ said PalVsion CEO Ravinder Pal from Singapore at the launch.
PalVision Sri Lanka Chairman Daya Weththasinghe said, Sri Lankan office was set up to leverage on the more conducive environment that was created after the civil war. PalVision envision Sri Lanka becoming a massive tourism destination in the near future. The government itself has introduced numerous programmes designed to boost tourism and foreign investment into this Wonder of Asia.
In 2006 the company successfully introduced its proprietary PalTV IPTV system, which set the stage for rapid business expansion. Today PalVision has established itself as the only company providing complete and customized end-to end solutions from a single source – providing Hoteliers with the ability to reliably connect to their customers in the shortest time.
Palvision further holds global rights for the distribution of content from various sources including all the major Hollywood studios.
PalVision comprises a team of Hospitality-industry professionals who have set up a company to provide cost-effective solutions that were designed from a Hotelier’s and Guests’ point of view.
The company further has in its employ technical staff who have worked in Hotel environments and also consultants comprising both current & retired Hoteliers who provide us with regular input.
PalVision latest solutions which we are going to showcase today were developed after numerous consultations with General Managers & other Hospitality Consultants in order to make it more User-Friendly, with more Guest-centric features, improve Hotel productivity, save costs, and increase revenue.
PalVision Sri Lankan office has expanded into a fully fledged R&D centre, capable of supporting the implementation of our solutions in Sri Lanka as well as to assist implementations in regional territories in the Maldives and others. Sri Lanka R&D is runs under supervision of Mr. Ruwan Fernando.
