“This is the first time that we are trying to introduce the genre of horror films to Sri Lankan cinema,” director, Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa told TV Times. We have tried our best to present a horror movie that we regularly come across in Hollywood.
According to Suneth the movie goers are to experience a completely unexpected ending and a complete twist to their expectations. “This is one of the features we come across in horror movies,” he said. However the viewers also will have to wait till the very last shot of the movie as a twisted end is to be experienced even after the film reaches its traditional ending prior to the final titles.
The film also has three songs penned by Nandana Wickremage and music composed by Udaya Sri Wickremasinghe. Others in the technical staff are, Prabath Roshan as cinematographer, Ajith Hathwella as art director, Uhan Ovita make-up, Shan Alwis editor and Gayan Srimal choreographer. Produced by Jagath M. Yapa, ‘Spandhana’ is scripted screenplay written and directed by Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa.
