Corporate Kings outclassed Technology Riders by nine wickets to emerge as Champions in the inaugural Cricket Tournament of CIC Agri Businesses played at the Daranbar Grounds in Hatton recently.

Members of the Corporate Kings team grabbed major honours

The Limited over tournament which was played among the Business Units of CIC Agri Businesses witnessed the participation of four teams Corporate Kings, Technology Riders, Food Warriors and Global Sharks.

In the semifinals Corporate Kings defeated the Global Sharks while Technology Riders beat Food Warriors.

In the final Corporate Kings defeated Technology Riders to win the Agri Business Trophy. Marlon Fernandopulle of Corporate Kings was adjudged as the Man of the Match and the Best Batsman while Kithsiri Dassanayake also of Corporate Kings was the Best Bowler of the Tournament.

MD/CEO of CIC Holdings PLC Samantha Ranatunge and MD/CEO CIC Agri Businesses gave away the awards. The Champion team Corporate Kings was led by Sujeewa Wijeweera and comprised Kithsiri Dassanayake, Dhammika Jayasundera, Prasad Senadheera, Dr Ananada Chandrasekera, Jayendra Rajasekera, Manju Gunawardene, Nandana Jayasinghe, Senerath Zoysa, Chaminda Liyanage, Asela Zoysa and Marlon Fernandopulle.
