View(s):The results of the 34th Bata-the Sunday Times Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2013 competition will be published in next Sunday’s issue due to the Sinhala Tamil New Year Holidays.
Next Sunday (April 21) cumulative results of the 13th and 14th weeks will be published as coupons will be open for readers to cast their vote in favour of their favourite schoolboy cricketers.
As of the previous weekend, Thurstan College’s Minhaj Jaleel led the main competition as Sanju Sharuk of Vidyaloka Vidyalaya Galle and Walid Jiffry of Leighton Park were leading the Emerging and International schools categories respectively.
Coupons for the 34th Bata-the Sunday Times Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year 2013 competition will appear in Wijeya Newspapers’ dailies- the Daily Mirror and Lankadeepa- and also in its weekend English publication, the Sunday Times. Readers will be able to send in as many coupons as they wish in favour of their favourite schoolboy cricketer until the deadline on May 30.
