Mark meets President AmCham
View(s):Mark Schroeder Associate Director of The University of Toledo Ohio USA recently met with Vijaya Ratnayake President American 
Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka to discuss matters related to recruitment of Lankan students to the University of Toledo, popularizing US schools in the island, possibilities of Toledo and Colombo working together on many mutually beneficial projects etc.
Vijaya responded by explaining how closely AmCham works with many local stakeholders promoting US products and services in SL.
Scholarships for USA (Pvt) Ltd is a member of AmCham and works closely promoting US education across the length and breadth of the island. During the last few years it has been tirelessly promoting US education to the furthest reaches of the island placing over 200 students who came mostly from provinces and from average middle class families. Larger majority of them have done exceedingly well creating an excellent reputation for Sri Lanka. SUSA also has facilitated over 10 institutional collaborations between US and SL covering various fields and making US education increasingly affordable and accessible to more youth.
