Nat Geo featured Angampora and the Yala National park in its episode of Mission Cover shot and the next episode will be more on Yala National park.

Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts facilitated the first photography-based reality show with the National Geographic channel in February, focusing on many of the tourist attractions in the Island. Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts, the key hospitality partner for the event set the background for these challenges adding colour and glamour to the images taken and providing excellent accommodation for the Nat Geo Team.

As the first challenge of the elimination rounds, Chaaya Wild Yala posed a wildlife based challenge for the contestants. Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts were more than a hospitality partner providing guidance on the field with the expertise of Head of Eco Tourism Chitral Jayatileke along with the Cinnamon Nature Trails team. The team mentored the photographers offering tips and advice on how to capture the best images in the wild. Chitral Jayatileke was also part of the panel of field specialists conducting the Yala leg in short listing the best images.

The Nat Geo crew comprising of the judges and participants were accommodated at Chaaya Wild Yala and Chaaya Tranz Hikkaduwa during this period. The amateur photographers faced their wildlife challenge in which they were required to capture the best moments of the wild at the Yala National Park. Angampora is a style of martial art native to Sri Lanka. The next challenge was to capture the special performance of martial arts which was conducted at Chaaya Tranz Hikkaduwa.

Was the infamous Leopard of the Yala National Park amongst the shortlisted images of the wildlife challenge? Who made it to the next round? Catch all these and more on National Geographic at 10pm, Monday 22th April.
