Cruising hypes entertainment aboard “Legend of the Seas”
View(s):Calling at the Colombo port last week, luxury cruise liner “Legend of the Seas” by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. with around 1800 guests opened up to give an in-sight into the world of cruises and vacations available onboard the vessel.
Hemas Travels acting as the General Service Agents (GSA) for the cruise liner, said they would provide a range of services focused on entertaining the entire family including a nursery for toddlers as well.
Royal Caribbean Cruises through its 41 ships with two under construction calls at 460 destinations on all seven continents.
During a single tour they would call at around at least three ports, and it was noted that they would provide an opportunity for guests to engage themselves in a multi cultural experience onboard the vessel.
Rooms onboard range from suites with butler service with balcony and open door facility to staterooms with only a window for view and no balconies to interior staterooms that would provide accommodation overlooking the shopping area.
The vessel also entertains guests with an outdoor experience of rock climbing with expert assistance, golfing, basketball court, 3D theatre, jogging and in-line skating and an ice skating rink. Guests also would be provided spas and beauty care including several dining options.
In alliance with DreamWorks, the Royal Caribbean Cruises have also as part of the enjoyment of travelling on the high seas a chance for guests to have a meal and pictures with well-loved cartoon characters.
Other forms of entertainment involve surfing simulator; diving acrobat performance carousal and a moving bar.
Currently, Asia has three ships operating under the Royal Caribbean Cruises flag with the vessel “Voyager” expected to undergo refurbishment while the Mariner of the Seas has already been revitalised and the Legend of the Seas also just completed refurbishments to its vessel.
The vessel also caters to exclusive corporate events in a bid to host Meetings, Incentives and Conferences onboard for those willing to participate for a unique experience.
It was observed that the vessel also has a number of small function rooms to provide necessary facilities for the corporate clients.
