The Boys’ Super A Division Champions - Richmond College – Galle
Under 16 S.L.A. Rathnayake Memorial Trophy Badminton Championship, which was held at the Bandarawela St. Thomas College Indoor Stadium from 20th to 24th April.
The tournament was organized by St. Thomas College Bandarawela for the 24th consecutive year. 567 players from 84 schools participated this time. The Girls’ A Division Champions - Sirimavo Bandaranayake Balika V – Colombo
Lankan Badminton Association Suraj Dandeniya, the president of Sri Lanka School Badminton Association E.M.S.Ekanayake and the principal of St. Thomas College Bandarawela were invited as the special guests.
In the Super A division, Richmond College, Galle emerged boys’ champions while Ambalangoda Dharmashoka bagged the runners-up title. Galle Samgamiththa Balika MV captured the girls’ championship, followed by Colombo Vishaka Balika V.
