The 19th Annual General Meeting of the CIMA Students’ Society
View(s):The 19th Annual General Meeting of the CIMA Students’ Society (CIMASS) was held on the 24th of March 2013 at the CIMA Sri Lanka Division. The Society is the sole representative body of CIMA students and passed- finalists in Sri Lanka and is one of the longest standing professional student bodies in the country.
It was established in the year 1993 with an aim to serve its fraternity and is the initiator of many popular events in the Sri Lankan business circle. These events include the CIMA Mind Challenge, CIMA Launch Pad, CIMA Students Conference and the CIMA Sports Day and Social Event aiding the CIMA student to develop their soft skills to become a well moulded professional in the corporate arena.
Mr. Reyaz Mihular Chairman CIMA Sri Lanka Governance Board and the Managing Partner of KPMGSri Lanka was the chief guest at the event. In his speech during the event he stressed on the importance of ethics in business and the importance of being a versatile professional.
Sajid Suhile a CIMA Passed Finalist, currently working for a leading telecommunication provider in Sri Lanka and a product of D.S Senanyake College Colombo was elected as the President of the Student Body for the years 2013/2014
