Much awaited musical album of the season, ‘Maniyanee’ an instrumental music album by Rukshan Karunanayake is now out under M Entertainment label. This distinctly unique CD was produced as a tribute to the memory of late great Clarence Wijewardane. Multi-talented musician of the new generation, Rukshan Karunanayake, who is the leader of the popular musical outfit ‘Chimes of The 70’s’ is the brainchild of this musical expression, where it has given the listener a unique instrumental interpretation of 12 outstanding hits of Clarence.
This Instrumental album incorporates a combination of three musical generations, ranging from the 60’s to the present, where the members of the four bands led by Clarence Wijewardane, namely, the ‘Moonstones’, ‘Golden Chimes’, ‘Super Golden Chimes’ and ‘Madhara’ have been featured along with “Chimes of The 70’s” in an epoch making endeavour.
This CD consists of instrumental version of the hits like ‘Maniyanee’, ‘Sihina Lowak’, ‘Gamen Liyumak’, ‘Sudu Manike’, ‘Sandae Walawan,’ and many more. This CD was launched over the ‘Rise & Shine’ programme telecast on Channel Eye on Thursday, 2nd of May, where the maiden copy was presented to Dr. Vijaya Corea, the legendary broadcaster & showbiz personality,
