View(s):The twelfth and the latest ‘Star Trek film ‘Star Trek into Darkness’ will be released at Superior, Majestic Cineplex, Colombo and Amity Lite Maharagama, simultaneous to world wide release on May 17.
Imported by Liberty Cinemas Ltd, the film describes the discovery of an unstoppable force of terror from within the own organization of the crew of the Enterprise. The film shows how Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.
Directed by J. J. Abrams, Chris Pine reprises his role as Captain James T. Kirk, with Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, John Cho, and Bruce Greenwood reprising their roles from the previous film. The film serves as the sequel to 2009’s Star Trek. J. J. Abrams directed a screenplay written by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindelof, based on the series of the same name created by Gene Roddenberry.
When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find that an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction.
As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
