Kingswood tasted the heady wine of success when they scored a comfortable 27 points (1 goal, 4 tries) to 17 (2 goals, 1 penalty) won over Isipathana in their Singer Under-20 Schools Division I ‘A’ rugby match played at Bogambara yesterday. The opening half was much closer but the winners led 10-7. Scrum half Salih, Asoka Amarasinghe (2), fly half Pradeep Kumara and prop N. Dinuka were Kingswood’s try scorers. Aruna Perera made the solitary conversion.
Amalka Gunaratne and S. Charana went over for last year’s champions, while H. Perera converted twice. Referee Pradeep Fernando.
