Young footballers from all parts of the country were put though a rigorous selection process last week, as officials looked to discover the 30 players who would make up the pool for the Under 16 national team.

The chosen players will get their first taste of action in Pakistan, where they will be engaged in a tournament which will run from September 10- 20. Selectors will have a wide berth of talent to choose from, with roughly 250 playing vying for a prized spot. The team will have their first practice session this weekend with full-time training commencing in August.
