DMS implements end-to-end networking solution at People’s Leasing HQ
View(s):Sri Lanka’s DMS Electronics has announced that it has successfully completed a project to implement an end-to-end networking solution for client People’s Leasing (PLC) at the latter’s headquarters in Borella.
Further, according to the announcement; “The state of the art solution was deployed with high availability and a 10 GB fibre backbone given the criticality of the network for their operations. A complete power over Ethernet solution that provides both data and voice capabilities covering the entire building is another key highlight of this solution”.
Chandana Weerasinghe, General Manager of Division 02, at DMS Electronics, was quoted as stating: “The deployment of this project was a complex one, where we worked closely with our Solution Partners – HP and Tyco and also with multiple stake holders including the consultants, designers, architects, building contractors and the customer- PLC for nearly two years”.
Additionally noted; “The 12-storey PLC head office Building was opened to commemorate People’s Bank’s 50th anniversary and has been recognised with several national and global awards and standards, including the ISO/IEC 27001: 2005 Information Security Management System Standard by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The building also won the prestigious 5-star award for Best Office Architecture in both Sri Lanka and the Asia Pacific region at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2012″.
