HCM Connect 2013 to go to Kuala Lumpur
View(s):Local human resource technology conference HCM Connect 2013, organised by Sri Lankan IT company Microimage, will expand its scope to also include Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and even other countries, over the course of this year, according to the company’s Funder and Chief Executive Harsha Purasinghe.
Welcoming delegates to the event’s recently-concluded Sri Lankan leg, the second edition of this conference held locally, Mr. Purasinghe revealed that, following on the conference being held in the Maldives in 2012, the company acquired, and completed, five enterprise-grade projects in that country, within just six months. New clients acquired included the Maldivian Broadcasting Corporation, Island Aviation, MTCC, ADK and Fenaka, while the existing client portfolio encompassed Universal Resorts, Bank of Maldives and telco Wataniya. Further, Mr. Purasinghe signalled that he hoped to re-create this same type of success in countries in which Microimage already had market presence, such as Malaysia, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Additionally, the company’s newest product, workswiftly.com, was also debuted at this event. A cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, this service promises to incorporate performance management, and review, as a regular part of workflow.
According to workswiftly.com’s announcement, it allows “creating goals in line with corporate objectives, cascading through goal contribution coming from team members, instant feedback, giving employees the opportunity to share their milestone achievements with their internal groups. Workswiftly.com is offered via cloud SaaS with complete mobile readiness when it goes live. The product is currently offered in Beta through an invite”.
