Unicorn House emerged champions at the Junior Inter-House Cricket Tournament of the British School in Colombo (BSC), which was held at the President’s College grounds in Rajagiriya, last Saturday.

In a breathtaking final, Unicorn defeated Centaur House by a close seven runs to retain the title for yet another year. Four cricket teams of the representing houses Unicorn, Centaur, Griffin and Hobbit competed in the tournament which was contested in a 10-over format. The competition was conducted under the supervision of head coach Aruna Batapolarachchi and assistant coach Eranga Perera; the cricket coaching staff of the British School in Colombo. The head of the school’s primary section and Deputy Principal of the British School in Colombo, David Goodwin graced the event as the Chief Guest. – NA
