“Angara Ganga” flows
View(s):The new production of “Angara Ganga Gala Basi”, the popular theatrical production of the 1980s, directed by Ranjith Dharmakeerthi will be staged at 3.30 pm and 6.45 pm on June 2 at Tower Hall theatre Colombo 10.
A host of artistes such as Sampath Thennakoon, Rajitha Hewathanthrige, Anuradha Mallawaarachchi, Senevirathne Rodrigo, Theruni Ashansa, Ama Wijesekera, Thushari Chamila, Mihiri Priyangani Sapa, Pinsara Sarnarasekera, Nishan Dewapriya and Sasitha Senanayake perform in the new production.
The play became a hit with rich music composed by the late Master Premasiri Kemadasa along with songs of Dr. Ajantha Ranasinghe and music for the present production is handled by Shantha Peiris. With Suwinitha Perera’s costume designing and Prasannajith Abeysooriya’s assistance in direction, the drama is organized by Jude Shrimal.
