ACBT to break new ground
View(s):Comprehensive English Teacher Training programmes that lack quality have created a vacuum in the teacher training sector. In today’s context it is a much-felt need. In an effort to fulfill this need, the English Department of ACBT plans to offer an intensive English teacher training course. The course will meet the dire needs of the present day English teachers and the demand for better English teacher training.
In A to the intensive teacher training course, short specific courses in teaching reading, writing, listening, speaking and grammar will be offered on demand.
Apart from English teacher training, short courses to meet the demands of the corporate sector are to be offered. These include Business English, Academic Writing Skills, English for Secretaries and Report Writing.
A special General English course will also be on offer for foreign students who register for ACBT diploma and degree courses but lack the required language skills. The General English Courses are to be further extended with two additional levels, Basic Level and a Level 3 added to the existing Levels 1 and 2.
ACBT is to reach out on demand, to the needs of its clientele in design and delivery of tailor- made courses.
The panel of experienced, qualified lecturers and resources available, enhance and ensure quality in all programmes offered by ACBT.
