A mobile hazard
Despite numerous laws regarding the usage of mobile phones when travelling, both pedestrians and drivers continue to use mobile phones when they drive or walk on roads. Police say this is becoming an increasing problem.
“When people use mobile phones while driving or walking on the road, they lose concentration. That is why accidents happen. Best thing is to avoid the use of mobiles when travelling. What is a government to do, if road users themselves are not vigilant about their safety?” said Inspector W.N.Kumara Officer-in-Charge of Police Public Relations.
