You can now travel with a ‘Touch Travel Pass’

Pre paid cards are to be issued via phone companies to pay for bus fare when travelling around the country.  The “Touch Travel Pass” was introduced after the Private Bus Owner’s Association made the proposal to the National Transportation Commission.

The machines were brought from China with a two year guarantee.  The machines are currently in use on 3000 private and state buses.
“Touch Travel Pass” pre-paid cards, which are worth Rs. 200, can be bought at communication shops.

The technology has been implemented by several bus owners on the 138 route. The bus owners  aslo proved their customers with free pre-paid cards.
