Twenty-year-old Hiruni Hansika Gamaarachchige from Kandy is in need of immediate brain surgery as treatment for an abnormal connection between her arteries and veins in the brain.

The condition known as Arteriovenous Malformation (AMV) had been detected in Cyprus when Hiruni was working there and partially treated by embolisation in Greece.

Back in Sri Lanka, currently under the care of Consultant Neurosurgeon Dr. Sunil Perera, she needs to have immediate brain surgery once again. The surgery is estimated to cost Rs. 2 million and as her family is unable to meet the cost she is seeking the help of generous donors.
