The Lanerolle Brothers wow the Bishopians in style
It was a gathering of Bishopians and friends at the ‘Purple Edition’ organised by the Past Pupils Association of Bishop’s College held at the Waters’ Edge last weekend.

The performers were the well-loved De Lanerolle Brothers who have in their four years of singing as a duo earned themselves a dedicated fan following. True to form, they delivered their customary repertoire of romantic hits of the 60’s and 70’s singing Engelbert Humperdinck and Elvis Presley with style. Guest performances by Dimitri Gunathilaka, Chamathka Ratnayaka and Zaffra Dean added much to the audience enjoyment.
“It was a wonderful performance as always,” said a happy member of the audience Denise Abeyratne. “It was a great show.”
The De Lanerolles help many, like cancer and trauma victims through their talents as well as training young aspiring singers to achieve their dream. So it was an enjoyable way to spend a Saturday evening sipping a glass of Armagnac, dining on oven roasted corn-fed Chicken Roulade and listening to two charming entertainers.
