MTTA open on June 13 and 14
View(s):Mercantile Table Tennis Knock out Tournament 2013 will be conducted by MTTA on 13th and 14th of June at the St. Thomas’ college indoor stadium commencing 5 pm on both days.
Thirty Three (33) teams have entered to participate in the Six (6) divisions.
Both Men’s and Women’s ‘A’ division winning teams will receive the MAS Holdings challenge trophies. Last year’s ‘A’ division champions MAS Intimates has filled a strong team comprising of current national champion Nirmala Jayasinghe, former Sri Lanka player Yohan Deshapriya and Rajiva Wijetunge veterans Sri Lanka player.
In the Women’s ‘A’ division last year’s champs MAS Intimates will be represented by Srimali Wimalaratne and Upeka Kottinkaduwa.
This year’s tournament has attracted the following firms namely HSBC, Singer Sri Lanka ,Unilever, Astron, Dialog, Commercial bank, Seylan bank, Colombo stock exchange, Commercial Credit and Finance, Millennium IT, MAS Intimates, SriLankan Airlines and Carsons Cumberbatch.
