Hybrid Homes delivers a unique solution to Colombo Commercial Court
View(s):Hybrid Homes, which uses shipping containers as its core production material unveiled one of its flagship projects by delivering a 2-storey storage facility to the Colombo Commercial Court within 48 hours, a company statement said.
Dharshana Fernando, Managing Director Hybrid Homes said that Hybrid Homes (Pvt) Ltd signed a joint venture agreement with Logiventure (Pvt) Ltd in February 2013 to introduce this novel hybrid construction technology, which provides an array of advantages against conventional buildings, according to the statement. According to industry experts these modular Hybrid Buildings are easy to build and costs lower than conventional buildings.
Mr. Fernando added that the use of recycling shipping containers as the core material makes the hybrid construction technology, green and eco friendly. “According to ISO shipping standards containers have a life span of more than 20 years in the tough handling and transport conditions, Shipping containers in a better environment may have longer life spans,” he said, adding that Hybrid Homes use the best of the new materials and technologies, such as recycled shipping containers, super-efficient windows and radiant heat, in combination with traditional building materials, creating healthy, comfortable spaces that people love to live in.
Like Hybrid cars, hybrid houses also conserve energy with different approach to technology, utilizing free energy from the forces of nature.
