Tanthirimale Viharaya comes alight once again to mark Poson Poya
View(s):The Tanthirimale Raja Maha Viharaya has been lit up once again from last night on account of Poson Poya which falls today.
The Aloka Pooja has been undertaken by Wijeya Newspapers Ltd., for the tenth consecutive year and the entire area is lit up to mark the sacred day for Buddhists.
Thousands of devotees will flock to Tanthirimale Raja Maha Viharaya today for religious observances while the Aloka Pooja also attracts many devotees.
The number of people visiting the site has increased rapidly since the end of the war.
