A montessori away from the hustle of the busy city
View(s):The Seekers Montessori in Mount Lavinia, away from the hustle of the busy city is a purpose built facility for early childhood education, committed to the development of pre-school children until they start school. The Montessori will have its next Open Day on July 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 31, De Saram Road, Mount Lavinia and invites prospective parents to drop in, walk around the facility, meet their staff and observe their work.
Speaking to Sunday Times, the resource person at Seekers, Mrs. Shanthi Wijesinghe said, “The teachers at Seekers are all qualified and there are no assistants. We are keen on improving the early childhood of the child which is sometimes neglected and abused.”
Special features at Seekers include spacious classrooms and clean washrooms, internationally approved student-teacher ratio, purpose built child-friendly facilities, learning centres with upgraded learning tools, large play areas and a safe environment for children. CCTV cameras placed around monitor the proceedings from the office area.
The classrooms in the facility have been designed to endorse a variety of activities. In the aim of promoting discipline among students a separate dining room and other rooms according to different themes have been constructed.
As part of their social responsibility project the Seekers Montessori has come together with a group from Sweden for a teacher exchange programme which is a landmark in their journey. For inquiries, call 0112728343 Email: info@seekers.lk
