Bandarawela Sussex College clinched the Under-15 Champion Trophy in the Uva Province Badminton Championship which held on June 15 at Hali-Ela – Uva Sports Club Indoor Stadium. Several teams representing leading schools in the province such as Central College Bandarawela, Vishaka Balika Vidyalaya Badulla, Central College Badulla, Passara Tamil Maha Vidyalaya participated in this tournament.
Bandarawela Sussex College played the finals against Badulla Vishaka Balika MV which was a tough, nail-biting contest. As the singles victory was divided among the teams, the tie-breaking doubles match helped Sussex College snatch the championship. Vishaka Balika MV and Central College Bandarawela bagged the first and runners-up places respectively.
