SLEME, Navy, SLACA and Old Lasalians open with wins
LEME (a unit of the Sri Lanka Army). Sri Lanka Navy, SLACA and Old Lasalians got off to wins on the opening day of the Colombo Super League Basketball Tournament that is being conducted by the Colombo District Basketball Association at St. Joseph’s Convent, Nugegoda and Amal International School on Friday.
In the opening fixture at St. Joseph’s, Nugegoda, SLEME had an easy 50 to 15 point win over Old Wesleyites BC. At the short whistle the winners held a commanding 23 to 2 point lead.
Sameera Peiris with 23 points, N. Tharaka 15 and T. Radshakan 10 were the highest scorers for SLEME.
For OWSC Asatha Afam 7 points was the top scorer for OWSC
