The Diabetes Association of Sri Lanka (DASL) launched a Children’s Educational Book on Diabetes, on June 26, 2013 at the National Diabetes Centre in Rajagiriya.

Their aim is to raise awareness that the best way to prevent Diabetes is by leading a healthy lifestyle by eating natural food, avoiding fast food, staying active and exercising at least 3 – 5 times per week and reducing stress.

“Punchi Apata Suwen Inna Seeni Kaama Adukaranna’, is written and beautifully illustrated by Kala Keerthi Sybil Wettasinghe, fondly known to millions of children as ‘Aunty Sybil’, as her “gift to the children of Sri Lanka to encourage them to change their lifestyles through proper nutrition and exercise.”
