Aspirations Education International Exhibition 2013
View(s):Aspirations Education, an international career guidance and student placement center in Sri Lanka this week announced the launch of the Seventh Annual International Education Exhibition to be held from July 13 and 14 at Galadari Hotel, Colombo from 9.00 a.m. onwards.
Aspiration Foundation and Aspirations Educations Chairman, AjithAbeysekara told a news conference that Education is a significant factor to create a “change” on pathological perspectives lie within the society which allow developing a young generation with goodwill and committed to the betterment of the society.
He said that the reason behind the success of the exhibition is due to the wide range of services and solutions which have been given to students, absolutely free of charge so that the ones who seek higher studies abroad to gain high level degrees and to continue up to Doctorate can select according to the desired area of study from more than 30 prestigious international universities and institutes in United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore.
He added that as a trusted partner in Education, AE has extend their inclusive services further from the selection of universities and courses to documentation and offer information on Visa requirements and guidance, fee structures, scholarship options, financial requirements and accommodation, offering individual attention for each student with direct guidance from university representatives which allow the student to depart to the desired university without hesitation or fear.
“The Exhibition will not only cater for the requirements of the students but will also educate the parents or guardians about education options and the benefits that the child will have by obtaining a foreign degree.” said Mr. Abeysekera.
According to the Chairman, Aspiration Foundation, as strong believers in education, has taken the initiatives to support marginalized communities to alleviate poverty issues through micro finance, agriculture, women and youth empowerment and enhance the education capacity of the less privileged students through child friendly educational environment by improving infrastructure and providing educational assistance in IT, Science and technology, Sports, aesthetic education, Library facilities, agriculture and much more.
He said that, the sustainability of the moral initiatives have been funded with the minor percentage that the Foundation obtain from the enrollment fees which include the young generation to get involved in the development of the less privileged families in the country.
He said the “Apeksha” Scholarship scheme, which was introduced in 2007 for the benefit of the under privileged students, have been able to enroll more than 500 students in 20 districts under the wings of the foundation supporting them to continue with their educational purposes. These children have been selected under the recommendation of the respective school principals by checking their socio-economic levels. Aspiration Foundation Director Chandra Ranawickrama said that as community service providers, Aspiration Foundation have been assisting the low income earning communities through establishing farmer organisations, empowerment programmes, training centers and other projects to improve social and economic standards.
