Lyceum International School Nugegoda performed extremely well to emerge champions in the ‘D’ divison of the All-Island Schools Under-15 Doubles Badminton Championship, held at Maliyadeva College in Kurunegala.

The championship was organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association.

At the tournament Lyceum Nugegoda beat St. Peter’s College Gampaha, Welagedara Maha Vidyalaya Kurunegala and St. Anne’s College Kurunegala before beating Sri Sumangala College Panadura in the final. The team was coached by Kaushalya Dissanayake, Harsha Hettiarachchi and Bimal Kotalawala with the assistance of Teacher-in-Charge Dilani Bastiansz. – NA
