De Vaz re-elected as PATA Sri Lanka chairperson
View(s):Shamali De Vaz was re-elected as Chairperson at the 38th Annual General Meeting of the Pacific Asia Travel Association- Sri Lanka Chapter held in Colombo recently.
Ruan Samarasinghe, Managing Director of Jetwing Hotels and Hussain Jayah, Head of Marketing and Sales of Aitken Spence Hotels were re-elected as Vice Chairmen.

The following committee members were elected to the Committee of the PATA Sri Lanka Chapter: Lalith Rodrigo, Director of Galle Face Hotels Ltd, Jayantha Panabokke, Managing Director of Mahaweli Reach Hotels Ltd, Devan De Mel, Chairman/ Managing Director of Quickshaws Tours Ltd, Ms. Zahara Cader, Managing Director of Tallman Tours Ltd, Sega Nagendra, Director of Travel On Ltd, Harith Perera, Managing Director of Diethelm Travel Lanka, Denesh Silva, Director – Marketing & Sales, Amaya Leisure Plc, Muaiyyed Idroos- Executive Director, World Avenues (Pvt) Ltd and Ms. Ratten Abdulhussein, Director of Pan Lanka Travels & Tours Ltd as the Immediate Past President.
Ms. Kumudu Hennidege, Manager- Marketing & Promotions of Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and Malraj Kiriella, Director- International Affairs & Research of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and representatives from Civil Aviation Authority and Sri Lankan Airlines will be joining in an ex-officio capacity.
