‘Motor Clinics’ to treat defects of vehicles
View(s):Sri Lanka’s motorists recently got an opportunity to check the defects and present condition of their vehicles from ‘Motor Clinics’ being conducted countrywide as a part of customer service of Janashakthi insurance company, officials said.
Car owners at these clinics were allowed free vehicle health check up. They were also educated on comprehensive car care mechanisms, Kaushala Amarasekara, Senior Brand Manager, Janashakthi Insurance PLC told Business Times.
Janashakthi has joined hands with the Sri Lanka Automobile Institute of Research and Training to provide expert guidance on all aspects of vehicle care, she added.
Technicians deployed at ‘Motor Clinics’ carry out scanning of vehicles and provide professional guidelines to the owners free of charge.
They will also inspect the Engine Control Systems and Transmission Controls in all vehicles to ensure maximum functionality.
The auto care clinic has facilities for Air Condition and Climate Control Systems inspection as well as Paint and Body Conditions inspection.
“Basic knowledge and skills for fault diagnosis and maintenance can prevent costly repair bills,” she said adding that Janashakthi Full Option has a proven track record of launching a range of industry firsts.
With the aim of guaranteeing the safety value of each vehicle, the technicians will also examine the Supplemental Restraint System and Body Electronics, Electronic Stability Programme, Electric Power Steering, Antilock Brake Systems and Tyres and Suspension Systems.
Following inspection of each vehicle, the technicians educate the owners about servicing and maintaining their own vehicle, she added.
Ms. Amarasekara revealed that the company has organized Motor Clinics in Anuradhapura, Kandy and Dambulla areas successfully with the attendance of 200 vehicle owners at each of these clinics.
Janashakthi hopes to conduct these clinics in several other major towns in the country shortly.
