Trilingual online IT course by Higher Ed. Min.
View(s):An online course on Information Technology (IT) will be offered soon by the Higher Education Ministry.
Cabinet this week granted approval to offer a Sri Lanka Certificate in Information Technology (SLCIT) course through the National Online Distance Education Service (NODES),which is functioning under the purview of the Higher Education Ministry.
Opportunities have been created for local students islandwide, as well as to foreign students, to follow online educational courses conducted by the NODES.
The course has been developed for self-studying in all three languages viz, Sinhala, Tamil and English, and it is expected to conduct the course in all three languages at NODES centres. On completion of this course, measures have been taken to conduct online examinations under the supervision of the NODES.
