Pegasus Reef Hotel unveils newly refurbished ballroom
View(s):Pegasus Reef Hotel recently unveiled its newly refurbished ballroom enhancing its product offering to its ever increasing clientele.
The three month long refurbishment at a cost of Rs. 60 million has added exciting new fabric wall paper, brand new carpeting in tones of red with yellow and beige, a state-of-the-art lighting system and the installation of modern specially designed chandeliers to created an aesthetic appeal. The new sound proof partition also enables the ballroom to be divided into two independent venues Rantambara and Sobara.
“This ambitious refurbishment project gives the hotel a leading edge and has been warmly welcomed by our large clientele north of Colombo and spread across all adjacent areas,” says Director of the Pegasus Reef Hotel and veteran hotelier, Paddy Withana. The 1200 sq metre ballroom can accommodate up to 800 pax for cocktails and nearly 600 pax for weddings.
It can also be used theatre style, classroom style, boardroom style. “Our target clientele is a healthy mix of local and foreign clients and represent the business, leisure tourism and transit segments. Offering the convenience beyond a city hotel, with the bonus of a resort ambience that soothes both the body and soul, Pegasus Reef is a popular venue for a variety of MICE programmes, weddings and honeymooners” Withana added.
Offering views of the garden and sea, the Pegasus Reef Hotels 140 spacious standard rooms and suite are equipped with central air-conditioning, TV, telephone, mini-bar, wireless internet service ( WI FI), attached baths with hot and cold water, and private balconies.
