‘Punsanda Paaya’ shines bright
View(s):‘Punsanda Paaya-2013’ mega concert organised by Moratuwa Art Forum (MAF) was held for the seventh successful year on July 13 at the Holy Emmanuel Parish Hall, Moratuwa.
International awarded actor Jagath Chamila (a memeber of MAF) was the chief guest at the event which was performed by over 140 singers, actor and actresses and dancers. The show was also marked the launch of MAF website www.moratuwaartsforum.com.
Lucky Deva, Lankika Perera, Nihal Nelson, Saman de Silva, Chandral Fonseka, Rukshan Perera, Sureshni Wanigasuriya, Devshan and Michelle, Devashree Perera, Sureni de Mel, C.L. Fonseka, Nihal Fernando, Tilak Perera, Merril Fernando, Chanaka Perera, Dinakshi Priyasadh and Dinesh Priyasadh, Somasiri Fernando, Shenya Napthali, Lilanthi Jayaratne, Anuradha Mac, Chandani Silva and Hemaka Fernando were few of the well-known performers from Moratuwa.
The show was dedicated as a felicitation for the “Best Actor Award Winner” at the New York City Film Festival, Jagath Chamila and a memento was presented to him by Lankika Perera, President of MAF while five senior members, Somasiri Fernando, Lincoln de Silva (Super Pink “N Purple), Nihal Nelon, Priya Peiris (Labambas) and Chanaka Perera (Golden Chimes) who also have completed 50 years in the music scene were awarded with a memento by Jagath Chamila. The musical backing was done by Spirit led by Lucky Deva.
