Sri Lanka’s Milcris awarded US$70 million road project in Oman

Milcris Pvt. Ltd. (Oman) soon after being declared as the first Sri Lankan Construction Consultant by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has been awarded a contract by the Muscat Municipality, Sultanate of Oman, to build a multilevel new interchange worth US$ 70 million. The new flyover parallel to the existing road will serve motorists driving between two towns, Amerat and Wadi Adai, and will be constructed as per global standards.

In a media statement, Millan De Silva, CEO of Milcris said, “We are delighted to win yet another infrastructure project in the Sultanate. This will enable us to provide more job opportunities for Sri Lankan Quantity Surveyors to be deployed in Oman.”

Milcris Ltd is a surveying and management consultancy with offices in both Sri Lanka and Oman. It has a turnover in excess of US$6 million per annum and is expected to reach US$10 million by the end of this year.
