Old Anandians trounce Gymkhana HC 4-0

View(s): Old Anandians trounced Gymkhana Hockey Club by four goals to nil in an Andriesz Shield hockey fixture at the Astro turf recently. At the short whistle Old Anandians led 2-0.
In the 5th minute of play, centre forward U. Anurdha opened the scoring with a field goal to put Old Anandians one up and two minutes later left inside R. Roshan made it 2-0 also with a field goal.
After the turn around, right inside L. Kavinda netted the third goal for Old Anandians in the 34th minute and the final goal for the day was anther field goal off the stick of Geemal Dias to give Old Anandians a 4-0 win.
The game was refereed by T. Sathishkumar and M.T. Mahesh, while N. Tennekoon was the reserve umpire.
