The Lanka Cavaliers vs MCA
View(s):The Lanka Cavaliers vs MCA will field formidable sides for the ‘Tyrone de Silva Challenge Trophy’ when they take on each other in the 10th Annual Over-40 Cricket Encounter, hosted by MCA on Sunday, July 28 at the MCA grounds, commencing 10.00am. This encounter has been going on continuously since 2004, with MCA leading the series 5-3, and one match ending in a tie.
The Lanka Cavaliers have strengthen their ranks with the inclusion of Nisal Fernando, Manoj Perera, Varuna Waragoda, Mahesh Wijenayake and Asanga Perera.
The four special awards on offer are for the best batsman, best bowler, best fielder and the man-of-the-match.
MCA Past President, Tyrone de Silva, who donated the trophy during his tenure in 2004 will be the Chief Guest.
