International Dance Festival: The MMI Concert & Graduation Ceremony
View(s):The talented students of Modern Montessori International (MMI) lit up the stage at the Bishops’ College Auditorium on the evening of 
the 25th of July 2013 with their colourful dance items and recitals. The theme around which the students showcased their skills was an international dance festival and the chief guest for the occasion was Mrs. Shyamala Pinto Jayawardana who is the Founder and Director of The Shyamala School of Art.
170 students took part in the concert performing in 10 group items that depicted a variety of dance routines ranging from a Sri Lankan unity dance to dances such as Malay, Mexican flamingo dances and others. The concert also featured special recitals and individual dance performances by the gifted students of MMI.
The concert was followed by the MMI Graduation Ceremony where 43 little MMI students received their diplomas and will be joining the top formal schools in Colombo such as Royal College, S. Thomas’ College, St. Peters’ College, Elizabeth Moir International School, Musaeus College, Wycherley International School, Asian International School and Visakha Vidyalaya to name a few. The event was both fun and vibrant, and the students were in high spirits.
