Pioneering firm, Rotax marks 50 years

The company said, in a statement to mark this anniversary, that Rotax Ltd became synonymous in the electrical business and is currently headed by its present chairman Joe Roche who positioned the company as a source for advanced electrical equipment keeping pace with the rapid changes taking place in the electrical industries worldwide.
Today Rotax provides and maintains the connection from leading international electrical manufacturers to local specifiers, contractors, plant engineers, and end users, the statement said.
The three new subsidiary companies Roche Engineering Pvt Ltd, Roche Lanka Private Ltd and Roche Projects Pvt Ltd are engineering and project specialists which offer support service to Rotax customers. These companies are themselves geared to manufacture and assemble electrical products as well.
These companies are well equipped to manufacture and assemble Switchboards and Motor Controls using globally renowned accessories.
Roche Engineering Pvt Ltd has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 quality certification for its management recently accredited by UKAS indicating.
Shane Roche, from the third generation of the Roche family, after being appointed as the Managing Director of the company has taken charge to intensify potential developmental areas in the company.
He initiated the Industrial Electrical Solutions Department at Rotax Ltd to providing industrial customers a process of controlling the manufacturing process with micro automation and improving the quality of the final products and also saving electrical energy.
Apart from this under his leadership medium voltage electrical installations have been undertaken successfully in prominent industries such as Loadstar, Rhino Roofing, Lumiere Textiles among others and Thermographic services were also provided to industrial clients enabling them to take preventive maintenance and avoid costly breakdowns of electrical equipment and installations, the statement noted.
The media release also observed that many of Rotax employees have been trained locally and abroad by internationally recognized experts.
Their strong investments in seeking new and advanced products have increased the number of innovative products to the inventory with which they face new challenges from the advancing market, it was stated.
