Chalmway International Hair and Beauty Institute (CIHBI) offers students the opportunity to gain overseas work placements in Australia
View(s):The Chalmway International Hair & Beauty Institute (CIHBI), is a fully fledged leading academy in the field of Hair and Beauty in Sri Lanka, offering internationally recognised certifications and privileged to have experienced teachers guiding and molding Sri Lanka’s qualified practitioners and beauticians under the strict yet nurturing supervision of Mrs. Chandhani Bandara, one of Sri Lanka’s leading Hair & beauty expert.
Chalmway International Hair & Beauty Institute (CIHBI) was initiated in 2002 with the sole purpose of working with students to achieve their career goals. CIHBI is committed to provide high quality standards of vocational education and training. CIHBI takes all needed steps to ensure that students receive the opportunity to fulfil their personal potential during training and every endeavour is made by the qualified staff to accommodate the training so that it matches a student’s individual needs. It is the goal of CIHBI to ensure that the time spent by students is both memorable and valuable.
The vision of CIHBI is ‘to be the most student and industry oriented, professional Hair & Beauty Institution in Sri Lanka’. The institute also works to uplift the profession of Hair and Beauty in Sri Lanka and aims to offer high levels of quality service to the industry as well as students enrolled with CIHBI. The unique aspect of CIHBI is that the institute empowers to students to earn while they learn in an environment that utilises the latest professional technology in the field of Hair and Beauty.
It was in keeping with this unique mission of CIHBI that the institute joined hands with REACH in January 2013. REACH is an Australian based registered training organisation that delivers national training package qualifications and selected units of competency recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). REACH is an organisation that was established in 2001 in Belmont, while successively establishing campuses located at Sydney, New South Wales and the Central Coast Region in Australia. The key guiding principle of REACH is “to provide a learning experience that will motivate the students to constantly aspire towards excellence in all their pursuits”.
CIHBI delivers the same programme modules as REACH whilst assuring consistency in the quality of education delivered and maintaining the high standards of REACH. CIHBI also shares in the mission of REACH to deliver job oriented skills training and work placements with established industry and corporate bodies.
Students of CIHBI, through REACH, have the unique opportunity to be employed by Ella Rouge, an Australian owned company that was established in 1997. Ella Rouge believes in offering their customers the best service through professional skills of the staff and through the use of innovative technologies. In keeping with this vision Ella Rouge offers employment sponsorship for REACH students undertaking beauty qualification in overseas countries. These students undergo a rigorous skills assessment with REACH and Ella Rouge through a ‘gap training’ prior to commencing employment with Ella Rouge. Furthermore, students also have the unique opportunity to receive further training through REACH to expand their skills and attain greater qualifications.
CIHBI thus stays true to their mission and helps students to grow and earn while they learn.
