Additional Secretary at the Presidential Secretariat, Anura Dissanayake assumed duties as the Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Education on Wednesday.

He succeeded S. M. Gotabaya Jayaratne, who had been a prominent senior administrator at the Ministry of Education. With 12 years of experience in the education field, Mr. Dissanayake has held a number of senior positions including the Additional Secretary post at the Education Ministry.
