ESOFT Metro Campus opens dedicated Degree Studies Centre in Kandy

Established in 2000, they expanded to the Kandy region in 2006 and quickly made a name for themselves as a trusted organisation for the BIT Degrees of the University of Colombo School of Computing, and the University of Moratuwa, along with the British Computer Society (BCS) Higher Education Qualifications, Edexcel’s Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes, as well as many other short term courses such as the Diploma in IT which is very popular with students that complete their Advanced Level studies.
With the high growth that has been experienced, it was high time that the Undergraduate students were given a separate and more spacious premises with the needed infrastructure to allow them to gain their qualifications with confidence.
The ESOFT Metro Campus Undergraduate and Postgraduate Centre was thereby opened on Thursday with much fanfare and with the honour of the presence of Tikiri Kabbekaduwa, the Governor of the Central Province, despite of his busy schedule. The new premises consists of seven floors with approx 10,000 square feet and consists of classrooms, computing labs, a library and study centre, and counseling stations.
The main programmes that are offered at the new premises include:
Edexcel HND’s in Computing and Business

Edexcel is the largest awarding body in the UK, and has been partnered with ESOFT for the past four years. The Edexcel HND is a cost effective option to gain a qualification that is equivalent to the first two years of a UK honours Degree, thereby allowing the student to progress to the final year of a degree and complete the qualification.
Bachelor of Information Technology Degrees
ESOFT has conducted classes for BIT of the University of Colombo School of Computing from the inception and has produced five batch tops including two from Kandy. ESOFT is the largest course provider for this programme, and has the performance of the students as proof of the academic quality.
ESOFT is also the only Collaborative Partner of the University of Moratuwa for offering their BIT Degree and has been conducting classes for the last several years

BCS Higher Education Qualifications
The BCS HEQ is a valued Professional Qualification which is equivalent to a UK Honours Degree, and recognized by the UGC as a suitable entry qualification for Post Graduate Studies even in State Universities. ESOFT is the only Accredited Course Provider in Sri Lanka for offering this qualification
Top Up Degrees and Post Graduate Degrees
ESOFT has been partnered with the Buckinghamshire New University for the past three years in offering their undergraduate programmes and we have produced 1st class Degree holders. For the new intakes commencing in February we will be unveiling a new University Partner with a rich track record in Sri Lanka and we will be offering their Top Up Degrees in Computing, Software Engineering, and Business Management along with full three year degrees where the entire programme will be conducted in house, in Sri Lanka itself. This is a truly valuable opportunity as the Student will receive a higher value qualification since all three years of study are under the direct supervision of the University itself, with interactions and guest lectures with visiting academics from the UK. We will also be introducing a MBA programme with a difference.
The new premises are located on Peradeniya Road, in front of the CTB depot and the counselors are ready to welcome you.
