Muhurath ceremony for ‘Bandara Deiyo’, a teledrama around historical characters and personalities who were respected and venerated for their heroic and selfless acts was held recently.  Directed by Sarath Dharmasiri, the teledrma is to depict Tom, a foreigner who plans to set a record by killing 100 elephants in Sri Lanka. While roaming in the jungle he meets with an accident and it is Bandara who comes to his rescue.

After the recovery the foreigner set out for his record but Bandara opposes it and fights with him. The teledrama is also to feature Prof. Mudiyanse Dissanayake, Dr. Lakshman Fernando and Somasiri Kolambage. Chandana Nuwan Manchanayake handles camera while Samantha Perera directs music, in ‘Bandara Deiiyo’.

The teledrama is scheduled to be released on every Saturday from August 31 on Swarnavahini channel.
