Old Boy’s quad finals today

Old Peterites, thanks to a tantalizing spell of left-arm spin bowling by Sohan Boralessa (6/19), reached the final of the Old Boys’ Quadrangular by destroying the Old Josephians by 7 wickets at the Asgiriya Stadium yesterday. Sri Lanka players Dimuth Karunaratne (no score), Michael Vandort (15) and Old Peterite Angelo Perera (36) were some of the stars involved.
Old Josephians 56 all out in 27.3 overs (Michael Vandort 15,D. Perumal 16, Sohan Boralessa 6 for 19)
Old Peterites 57 for 3 wickets in 7 overs (Angelo Perera 36, A. Fernando 16)
The Old Benedictines pulled off a slightly surprising, yet convincing win over the Old Antonians in the second game played at Katugastota. Prasad Ranawaka and Tharaka Gunaratne made contributions for the home team.
Old Benedictines will meet the Old Peterites in today’s final at Katugastota.

The Antonian Over-40s bolstered by unbeaten knocks of 44 and 42 respectively by Susantha de Mel and Sajith Fernando, made short work of their opponents in their quadrangular match played at the Old Benedictines 119 for 8 wickets in 20 overs (S. de Alwis 37, S. Silva 23, Z. Muthalib 2/23, P. Wijetunga 2/22)

Indunil Anthony struck a belligerent 62 not out to help the Old Peterites overcome Old Josephians by 6 wickets and eight balls .It will be an Old Peterites-Old Antonians T20 final at Pallekele today in the Old Boys Quadrangular.
