Top kitchen brand, Häcker enters Lankan market

Catering to an upmarket clientele, the ‘new generation’ kitchens are positioned not just as a workplace but more as a place where enjoyment and relaxation unite, enabling an enhanced lifestyle where friends and family could be entertained. Häcker in Sri Lanka has joined hands with Bosch home appliances, the biggest supplier and manufacturer of home appliances in Europe, to provide complete and unique kitchens solutions, according to a company statement.
The company’s partner in Sri Lanka is Fine Furniture (Pvt) Ltd.
All Häcker kitchens are manufactured in fully automated controlled state of the art production lines in Germany, which produce precise and perfect kitchens. Häcker-Kuchen GmBH & Co has been producing modular kitchens in Germany since 1936 in their central manufacturing facility spread over an area of 150,000 square meters. Martin Klement, Director Fine Furniture (Pvt) Ltd was upbeat on the potential of such top quality kitchens in Sri Lanka. “The housing and real estate development market is on the rise and already there is a demand for stylish, high performance kitchens, perfectly planned with all modern conveniences. Häcker is able to provide for that level of sophistication,” he explained.
Mr. Klement also noted that living trends in Sri Lanka were changing with the kitchens becoming the hub of a home. “The kitchen is the room with all the action. It’s not just a place to prepare and cook food – it’s also used for entertaining guests, family mealtimes and for the gourmets in your family, a workplace – ideally a favourite place in your home”.
Häcker kitchens will take up to 8-10 weeks for installation from the time of the confirmed order.
